Goals Statement

Currently I hold a Professional Teaching Certificate in English 6-12 and ESOL and have almost six years of K-12 classroom teaching experience.  As a teacher, coach, mentor and English Department Head; I have designed and developed instruction in various content areas and platforms.  In addition to classroom teaching, I cofounded Garfield Communications Consultants.  This business venture has offered many opportunities to design and develop instructional content for many diverse clients in the K-12 and corporate settings.

Through my graduate studies in the field of Instructional Design and Technology, I have extensive knowledge of educational theories and pedagogy which I apply through designing meaningful curriculum plans for eLearning.  Education is my passion and I am dedicated to developing unique and engaging educational solutions through course development using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite.

Upon graduating, my goal is to continue growing in the field of education.  I would like to continue teaching in the K-12 classroom and working on projects with Garfield Communications Consultants.  In addition, I would like to secure an Adjunct Faculty position teaching online courses on the university level.  I am confident this role will provide me with a creative outlet to share my passion for learning with a diverse group of learners.
